Cymbopogon Nardus is native to southeast Asia, and is cultivated in tropical climes worldwide. It is a coarse clump-forming grass commonly known as Citronella growing up to 2 meters tall. Citronella stems are cane-like and can be propagated through clump division. Another important species of Cymbopogon is Lemongrass. Citronella has traditionally been used as an insect repellent, incense and in Eastern medicine. Possibly one of the most distinctive smells in the field of essential oils. A very powerful sweet lemony scent that most people associate as an insect repellant.
Also said to be good for those that suffer from excessive sweating.
