Black Tourmaline (also known as Schorl) is a complex sodium iron aluminium boro-silicate hydroxide in the Tourmaline group found in granites and granitic pegmatites, high temperature hydrothermal veins and metamorphic rocks. Schorl is a black Tourmaline, the most common, and occurs as inclusions within other crystals, such as Quartz.
